SUMMARY:March Madness Bracket Tournament | Scholarship Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:March Madness is here! Join the Metro Washington Chapter’s bracket tournament benefiting our scholarship fund. \n\n50/50 prize for winner!\n$15 entry fee\nSubmit additional brackets for $5 ea. to increase your odds of winning\n\nEnter as many times as you please! The money will all be collected into a pool: 50% of the total will go to the winner and the other 50% will go to our chapter scholarship fund\, which helps deserving\, local (DMV) students cover the costs of their Penn State education. Therefore\, the more brackets that are entered\, the more everyone wins\, so be sure to invite your friends! \n**NEW this year: we will be hosting a matching competition for the Women’s tournament as well! All of the same details apply and you can enter either or both\, if you really “know ball.” \nFollowing your ticket purchase\, you will receive an email with login information for our private ESPN group(s) where you will submit your bracket(s). You will be able to track your point total and ranking vs. other submissions throughout the tournament. \nIf you have any questions\, don’t hesitate to reach out to scholarship@psuwashdc.org. \nAdd-On: Bribing the Refs \nNo\, you can’t pay us for extra bracket points\, but since the more people play\, the more everyone wins\, we will offer an additional incentive for all REFerrals you make to the event! For every new registrant who notes that you referred them in the ‘notes’ section of their checkout page\, we will grant you one entry into a raffle for a special prize. DESCRIPTION:The Student Break Buses\, sponsored by the Metro Washington\, DC Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association\, provides safe\, reliable\, and economic transportation for students traveling between University Park and the Washington\, DC metro area over holiday and semester breaks. \n\nUniversity Park\, PA – Pick-up & Drop-off: Curtin Road beside the Berkey Creamery\nBethesda\, MD – Pick-up & Drop-off: Side parking lot of Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda\, MD\n\nThe trip between State College and Washington\, DC usually takes about 4 hours\, but keep in mind that travel times may vary with weather and/or traffic issues.
