SUMMARY:March Madness 2026 Bracket Tournament | Scholarship Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:March Madness is almost here! Join the Metro Washington Chapter’s bracket tournament benefiting our scholarship fund\, with options to participate in both the Men’s and the Women’s tournaments. The same details apply for both and you can enter either or both\, if you really “know ball.” \n\n50/50 prize for winner!\n$15 entry fee\nSubmit additional brackets for $5 ea. to increase your odds of winning\n\nEnter as many times as you please! The money will all be collected into a pool: 50% of the total will go to the winner and the other 50% will go to our chapter scholarship fund\, which helps deserving\, local (DMV) students cover the costs of their Penn State education. Therefore\, the more brackets that are entered\, the more everyone wins\, so be sure to invite your friends! \nFollowing your ticket purchase\, you will receive an email with login information for our private ESPN group(s) where you will submit your bracket(s). You will be able to track your point total and ranking vs. other submissions throughout the tournament. \nIf you have any questions\, don’t hesitate to reach out to scholarship@psuwashdc.org. \nAdd-On: Bribing the Refs \nNo\, you can’t pay us for extra bracket points\, but since the more people play\, the more everyone wins\, we will offer an additional incentive for all REFerrals you make to the event! For every new registrant who notes that you referred them in the ‘notes’ section of their checkout page\, we will grant you one entry into a raffle for a special prize. Invite your friends\, family\, co-workers\, or really anyone you want to show off your sure-to-be-impressive bracket to!

DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Nittany Lions and alumni from Big Ten schools at this year’s 5th Annual Big Ten Fun Run! This year’s event is proudly sponsored by The Capital Area Iowa Club. \nCome to Salt Line DC on April 25th at 10:30am for a fun run with participants from all of the Big Ten alumni clubs in the area. \nHere’s some new details and notes for the run! \n​We wanted to share out some more details on what to expect and how to plan. \n\nMake sure to wear your school colors!  We have approximately 100 people signed up and expect more day so we got to show off our school pride!\nParking\, here’s a link to available parking near Salt Line: Free Parking & Garages Deals near The Salt Line | SpotAngels\nBefore we start the run\, we’ll attempt to take a group photo.  Please arrive early if you’d like to join in.\nWe’ll have a bag check with a couple volunteers at the start of the race.\nWe’ll kick off the run at 10:30am on the road in front of Salt Line DC.  We’ve included a map below of the route.\nThe route below is a 5k.  If you want to do a 10k\, just take another lap!\nThis is a self-timed run so we will not have timing chips or a clock.\nAfter the run\, we can enjoy a cool drink at Salt Line.  If it gets too busy\, we can do an overflow at Dacha Beer Garden next door which opens at 11am.\n\nYou can see the route below (click on it for a direct link to it).\nPlease sign up below to get updates and give us an idea on how many to expect.  (Sign up is not mandatory) \nRSVP form (On The Capital Area Iowa Club’s website): https://www.capitalareaiowaclub.com/bigtenfunrun.html
