DESCRIPTION:Please join us at Cabin John Park as we welcome the newest group of Nittany Lions as they join the Penn State family!\n\nThe day will include food\, drinks\, games\, giveaways and more!\n\nDuring the picnic\, we will host a session where freshmen can chat with former students to find out all there is to know about campus life. We will also have a special session for parents to speak with current student parents to ask all the important questions.\n\nPlease kindly register using the RSVP link below so we can ensure there is enough food and drink. Expect typical BBQ fare (salads\, grilled meat\, fruit\, and dessert).\n\nEvent Volunteers Needed:  The chapter also needs alumni volunteers that can be present from 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM to help setup\, greet guests\, mingle with students and their families\, take photos\, cleanup\, etc. Please register below if you’d like to help us run this important event! Be sure to RSVP using either the “Incoming Student” or “Family & Friends” RSVP tickets as well as signing up for volunteering.\n\nDate: Saturday\, August 9\, 2025\nTime: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM\nLocation: Cabin John Park – Group Picnic Area (7400 Tuckerman Ln\, Bethesda\, MD 20817)\nCost: Free to all incoming freshmen and their families\, current students as well as any PSU DC Metro Alumni Association members.\nTickets: When reserving your free ticket\, please be sure to include the total number of people in your party.
